Description
The 2025 KTM 250 XC-W is a lightweight two-stroke enduro motorcycle designed for technical, off-road riding in the Enduro E1 class. Key updates for the 2025 model year focus on chassis revisions aimed at increasing comfort and flex, along with updated graphics.
Key features
- Engine: The 249cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke engine features a Keihin electronic fuel injection (EFI) system with a 39mm throttle body. The motor is designed to deliver high torque without losing its classic two-stroke character.
- Chassis: Updates to the chromoly steel frame for 2025 include revisions to the engine hangers, steering head, and shock mount area to reduce torsional rigidity and improve rider feedback. The frame is finished in a new black powder coating.
- Suspension:
- Front: 48mm WP XACT closed-cartridge spring fork with updated settings for 2025 to complement the frame's new flex characteristics.
- Rear: WP XPLOR PDS rear shock with a revised linkage, seals, and smaller diameter bolts. PDS (Progressive Damping System) mounts the shock directly to the swingarm without a linkage, improving ground clearance.
- Components:
- Electric start powered by a lightweight lithium-ion battery.
- Brembo hydraulic clutch and brake systems.
- Giant alloy wheels with CNC-machined hubs.
- Polyamide-reinforced aluminum subframe.
- Refined frame: The new frame has been lightened by 300 grams and engineered for more flex to enhance comfort and handling.
- Revised suspension settings: Both the WP XACT front fork and WP XPLOR PDS rear shock have revised settings to match the new frame's flexibility.
- Updated aesthetics: The 2025 model receives new graphics featuring silver-grey highlights over orange bodywork. It also has a new orange seat cover.
- Swingarm and linkage changes: The swingarm has new machining to reduce chain rub and wear, and the linkage bolts are now smaller (10mm).
