• Engine: The YXZ1000R SS XT-R is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline 3-cylinder engine with a 10,500 rpm redline. It features Yamaha Fuel Injection (YFI) and a dry-sump lubrication system. A smart cooling system with a rear-mounted radiator helps reduce cabin heat and improve cooling.
• Transmission: It utilizes a Yamaha Sport Shift, a sequential five-speed manual transmission with an automatic clutch. This transmission incorporates Yamaha Chip Controlled Shift (YCC-S) technology and steering column-mounted paddle shifters.
• Drivetrain: The vehicle is equipped with Yamaha's On-Command® 4WD system, allowing selection between 2WD, 4WD limited-slip, and 4WD full diff lock modes. It also includes an over-torque protection system.
• Suspension: The suspension features fully adjustable FOX® 2.5 Podium® RC2 Dual Spring shocks with adjustable crossovers, providing 16.2 inches of front travel and 17.0 inches of rear travel.
• XT-R Package Enhancements: The XT-R package includes several factory-installed upgrades such as a WARN® VRX 4500 winch, beadlock rims with Maxxis® Carnage™ tires, enhanced underbody protection, upgraded lighting, and various cosmetic and comfort features.
• Other notable features: Additional features include Yamaha Electric Power Steering (EPS), powerful all-wheel disc brakes, a supersport-style dashboard, and a 300-pound cargo capacity. 

• The YXZ1000R SS XT-R is known for its agility, handling, and engine braking capabilities. The XT-R package is designed for challenging off-road environments. 

• An optional Yamaha Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) Turbo Kit is available, which can significantly increase power.
